1. How to Use the Certification Mark
1.1 Standards for using the accreditation mark
- 1.1.1 Present the accreditation mark with the accreditation number under the KAB logo as shown in the figure below. Present it with the certification numbers and mark them as shown in the figure below.
- 1.1.2 The accreditation mark can be enlarged or reduced in size, but the size of the accreditation mark must be at least 15mm (width: 15mm, length: 10mm)
- 1.1.3 By principle, the color of the accreditation mark should be as indicated below, and in unavoidable cases, it may be presented in black and white.
- 1.1.4 The accreditation mark cannot be used alone, and it should be used only within the accredited scope and valid period. If the scope of accreditation is revoked or reduced, the use of the accreditation mark shall be stopped for the revoked or reduced accredited scope.
- 1.1.5 The accreditation mark must be used at the same time as the GSC mark, and in principle, the accreditation mark should be arranged to be located on the right or the bottom side as follows to avoid confusion between the accreditation mark and the certification mark.

1.2 Standards for using the certification marks
- 1.2.1 The certification marks of GSC are as follows
- 1.2.2 The GSC certification mark for each standard should be used with the name of each standard at the bottom of the letter “G” of the basic GSC certification mark (Figure 1).
- 1.2.3 A logo that is used as a GSC certification mark must be identifiable at all times.
- 1.2.4 The minimum size of a logo that can be used as a GSC certification mark is 15mm in length, and modification of the ratio / design / font of the logo file is not allowed in any case.
- 1.2.5 As shown below, a logo, which can be used as the certification mark, can use the following color versions: ‘two-color version’, ‘single-color version’, or ‘monochrome version.’ For the ‘two-color version’ and ‘monochrome version’ logos, only the stated colors must be used.

- 1.2.6 A logo that can be used as a certification mark can be used with inverted colors.
- 1.2.7 When the certification logo is to be displayed on promotional materials, copper plates, top of letters, flags, buildings, etc., a minimum clear space must be ensured to maintain the format of the certification mark and information transmission.
- (1) Other logos or text elements cannot be placed in the clear space.
- (2) The size of the minimum clear space should be applied as much as the height and width of the letter ‘GSC’ in the center of the logo.
- (3) When the background color, brightness, and saturation are the same, and when the logo is placed in a complex texture environment, apply the color of white to the clear space to differentiate the logo.
1.3 Restrictions on certification mark promotion and promotions
- 1.3.1 If it is necessary for publicity purposes, a person who has obtained certification can make a certification mark along with the certification institution mark and display it on documents, letters, or promotional materials, such as buildings, vehicles, flags, etc., and advertisements. However, it should not cause any misunderstanding of certification for products or services that are not within the scope of certification.
- 1.3.2 Certification mark cannot be displayed on the product or product packaging. However, it may be marked on the packaging for transport of the product.
- 1.3.3 The certification mark shall not be used in test reports, calibration reports or inspection reports.
- 1.3.4 A person who has obtained certification must comply with the “Guidelines for Examination of Awards, Certifications, etc. Labeling and Advertising” (the rules of Fair Trade Commission) in accordance with the “Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act”.
- 1.3.5 A person who has been certified is only permitted to use the phrase "certified". (Example: ISO 9001 Certified Company / ISO 14001 Certified Company or ISO 9001 Certified Company / ISO 14001 Certified Company)
