ECOVADIS was founded in 2007 and operates as the first sustainability (CSR) evaluation collaboration platform to evaluate the environmental and social performance of global suppliers.
ECOVADIS certification is a tool for buyers, supply partners, and service partners which can be used to solve issues in terms of sustainability management/CSR together. It provides an efficient system to both buyers and suppliers (partners). More than 75,000 companies in 160 countries around the world are using ECOVADIS's CSR evaluation platform.

The evaluation process consists of four steps: registration, survey, expert analysis, and results.
- ECOVADIS evaluation items consist of 39 CSR questions in 5 themes (general, environmental, labor practices, fair operation, and sustainable procurement) regarding supplier CSR.
