SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is an ethical audit process that was developed by Sedex, a non-profit organization established to continuously improve ethical performance in the supply chain.
As the world's most widely used ethical audit today, it has become essential audit for organizations to demonstrate that they are working in an ethical manner, regardless of their size, industry, or geographic location.
It covers four core issues: labor standards, health and safety, business ethics and the environment.
