Cancellation and Suspension of Certifications
Standards on the suspension of certifications
- The surveillance audit or Recertification Audit is not conducted within the specified time limit without applying for a suspension of certification
- A voluntary suspension of certification is requested
- The certified customer’s management system continuously or seriously fails to meet the certification requirements and teachings on the effectiveness of the management system (in cases where there are no resources and an organization, or the certification system is mostly out of operation).
- There is no credibility of the certification system due to claims from interested party or social scandals
- The certified organization does not take action to respond to changes in the certification system and certification requirements
- Two or more major nonconformities are found in an examination
- No actions are made to adjust the nonconformity found in an audit for more than 3 months
- Not making any corrections within 1 month after receiving a correction order due to misuse of the certification mark
- The audit fee for the certification is not paid (exceeding 3 months from the last date of the audit)
- Non-compliance with the organization's obligations under the certification contract
- Exceeded the scope of application of the certificate
- The information or documents provided during the certification application and audit are found to be false
- Reorganization or material changes to the system are not disclosed.
- Breach of contract or agreement made with GSC
- A certified customer voluntarily requested suspension of certification
Standard on the Cancellation of Certifications

It is clear that no corrective action has been taken until 3 months after the certification effect has been suspended.
However, if there is an appropriate reason, it will be documented according to the judgment of GSC, and cancellation may be deferred if KAB and related customer’s consent are obtained. Copies of relevant evidence should be provided to the organization. - The organization wants to waive the certificate as an official document
- Production, activities, or services of products (processes) included in the scope of certification are stopped
- The validity of the certification is suspended three or more times within the validity period of the certification
- The identity of the organization subject to certification disappears or cannot be confirmed due to the dissolution of the certification organization, loss of contact, etc.
- The certificate is not registered within a month after being requested for a retrieval of the certificate
- The renewal certificate is not restored after 6 months of the expiration of the certificate
- Refusing to be evaluated by the accreditation institution without justifiable reasons
